The Testing The Water E.P. will be released on January 26th 2014.
Manchester’s Blizzard has announced news of his next release. The Testing The Water E.P. will be released on January 26th 2014 via his own Eight In Brackets label.
Blizzard recently shared the first video from the E.P….
When not hearing the word ‘Blizzard’ in relation to the weather or those cool World of Warcraft games, you may have heard it in relation to the Don’t Flop rap battles, particularly the one against teacher, Mark Grist.
Blizzard has been listed as a ‘hot one to watch’ by BBC 1xtra, featured on SBTV numerous times and had the thumbs up from Ed Sheeran, Rizzle Kicks, Wiley and Misha B, to name a few.
Sooner Than Never was Blizzard’s last E.P. Released in September 2012, it attracted promising attention, hitting number 18 in the iTunes single chart and number 1 in the iTunes hip-hop chart.
Refusing to be pigeonholed as ‘just a rapper’, Blizzard produces, sings and plays the piano, all of which can be heard on the forthcoming release.
The 7 tracks on the E.P. reveal the different sides to Brad ‘Blizzard’ Green – from the energetic, anthemic sounds of B.L.I. and Kids Of The Night through to the thoughtful, melodic Testing The Water and Paradise Island. We are invited into Blizzard’s head and heart as he opens up about death, disasters in love and deep nostalgia.
