BLIZZARD covers The Smiths for Wonderland

At only 19, Blizzard is an artist with 8 years experience under his cap. Winning an EA competition at age 11 to feature in a professionally produced music video; Bradley ‘Blizzard’ Green won the attention of the urban scene and the respect of its critics. With his rap battles on the Don’t Flop scene racking up thousands of views and his release of ‘Sooner Than Never’ going to number 1 in the hip hop charts, it’s almost of no surprise that his latest EP, ‘Testing the Water’ did just the same – although reaching that position in just 12 hours was perhaps somewhat unexpected.

An accomplished rap artist with intimidating freestyle skills, Blizzard strives to prove he’s even more than that; and so, when we met with him on a crisp day aboard a Thames moored boat, he chose to cover ‘This Charming Man’ by The Smiths…

Testing The Water from Manchester’s Blizzard is out now and available to buy digitally. The E.P. was released on March 30th via Blizzards own Eight in Brackets label and reached number 1 in the iTunes hip hop chart within 12 hours.  Blizzard has also shared the video for ‘Kids Of The Night’ from the release.

Following the 19 year olds last release ‘Sooner Than Never’ going to number 1 in the hip hop charts Blizzard had his own personal expectations “The pressure was definitely on and I’ve put so much work into this record. I really hoped that people received it as well as they did with Sooner Than Never. It’s really humbling that they have”

In addition to topping the hip hop charts, the EP has reached number 35 in the album charts and received kudos from Mobo, MTV, SBTV, RWD, BBC Radio 1Xtra, Hit The Floor Magazine and I Luv Live, to name but a few.

Bradley ‘Blizzard’ Green started his journey in music at the age of 11 after winning an EA competition that saw him record a professionally edited video. The track charted at number one on music television platform Channel U and gained him underground recognition but it was his rap battling skills on the Don’t Flop scene a few years later which shot him to attention. The buzz around the multitalented musician continues to grow and the ‘Testing The Water’ E.P. is another example of Blizzards abilities.
