VIDEO ::: Kobi ‘All The Way’
A lot of cool things happened this year on April 22nd; I turned 20, Rudimental released their number one album ‘Home’, Frank Turner released ‘Tape Deck Heart’ – an album I am ridiculously obsessed with and Kobi released the official video for their single ‘All The Way’.
Having created hype in Scotland over the last year by performing at venues such as King Tuts in Glasgow, The Lemon Tree in Aberdeen and the Ironworks in Inverness, as well as playing festival slots at Rockness and Belladrum Festival, it’s time the rest of the world got to grips with Kobi. With a similar sound to bands such as Snow Patrol, Foals and Arcade Fire, this three piece band are definitely on the right track.
The song itself was produced by Grammy Award winner Steve Orchard, who has worked with the likes of Noel Gallagher, Travis and Paul McCartney and throws Kobi in at the deep end in pop territory. ‘All The Way’ is full of melodies you’ll find yourself singing two days after listening to the song and it reflects the band’s shared love of music and their unexpected influences (it’s a little bit U2…).
Expect to be hearing a lot of Kobi in the future, ‘All The Way’ is just the beginning of a really exciting journey for them.
