The online music channel known for introducing emerging talent is bringing its renowned sofa to the Leeds Corn Exchange this Friday, 23rd May. In association with the Corn Exchange and Hirst’s Yard, Ont’ Sofa will be acquainting Leeds with some of its freshest local musical talent.
On the line-up will be Fiona Bevan, co-writer of Ed Sheeran’s number one hit “Little Things”; rock band The Dunwells, who have appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno; and York based singer-songwriter Beth McCarthy who recently appeared on BBC One hit The Voice. It all kicks off at 7.30pm and the £8 entrance fee also gets you a free drink.
Ont’ Sofa has previously worked with the likes of Luke Friend, Lucy Spraggan, Mike Hough, Lunar C, Becky Hill and many other emerging talents. The co-founders Jason Odle and Ben Davis have made it their mission to discover rising talent from all over the UK and stand up for real, independent artists and their music. “We have witnessed so many incredible talents come out of the North. When we thought about the showcases we wanted to organise all over the country, Leeds was an obvious choice”
The event is being held at The Leeds Corn Exchange this Friday, 23rd May at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 and will include a free drink.
